About our school:

Arkwright Primary School is a small, friendly primary school in Derbyshire with around 100 children on roll, aged from 3 to 11. 

We are proud to have recently been rated ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted (June 2025). This reflects the hard work and dedication of our staff, the enthusiasm of our pupils, and the strong support of our community.

Our children are polite, well-behaved and eager to learn, making Arkwright a wonderful place to grow and thrive. 

Our school is organised into four classes: EYFS Unit, Year 1/2, Year 3/4 and Year 5/6, allowing us to provide high-quality, tailored teaching across all stages of primary education. 

Arkwright Primary School chose to join Redhill Academy Trust in 2025, attracted by the Trust’s strong sense of collaboration, high expectations, and excellent professional development opportunities. We are excited to continue building on our recent success, ensuring every child achieves their best in a happy, nurturing environment.
