Farmilo Primary School and Nursery have been commended for the excellent outcomes disadvantaged pupils at their school achieved at the end of the 2024/25 academic year.
In a message to the Mansfield school, part of Redhill Academy Trust, Secretary of State for Education Bridget Phillipson highlighted the dedication of their staff and hard work of the pupils, sharing: “Your school’s performance places it among the very best nationally, and this is a significant achievement.”
“It shows what can be achieved when ambition and commitment come together. Thank you for everything you do to give children the best possible opportunities to succeed. I hope you will continue to share your experience and best practice with others”.

Reflecting on this achievement, Suzanne Tryner, Headteacher, said: "We are thrilled to have received recognition for all our hard work with all of our pupils but especially those children who are most disadvantaged within our school.”
“Our vulnerable children are a real focus of everything that we do so that we can ensure that their outcomes are good. We know that good academic outcomes are even more important for disadvantaged children so that they can have a successful future."
Julie Wardle, Redhill Trust Primary Director, said: "We have worked with Farmilo Primary School & Nursery for the last 3 years while they were an associate member of Redhill Trust. They recently joined us as a full member and it's great to be able to share in this success.”
“Congratulations to the team at Farmilo whose care and expertise support all children to achieve their potential, regardless of their background or starting point."
