Joy as 'determined' cohort of GCSE students collect exam results

Students across Redhill Academy Trust have completed Year 11 by collecting their GCSE results.

The cohort was the first in two years to take full examinations to determine their grades, replacing teacher assessed grades which were introduced during the pandemic.

Their hard work, determination and resulting achievements were celebrated alongside staff and parents in schools across our region.

Excitement spilled over at The Bolsover School where one student placed herself along the highest performing in the country. Bella Hamilton-Dale (pictured above) achieved grade 9 in all ten of her subjects - the highest score attainable! She will go on to study A Levels at St Mary's Sixth Form in Chesterfield.

Headteacher at The Bolsover School, Matthew Hall, said: “We are so proud of our Year 11 students. They have shown resilience and determination throughout their time at The Bolsover School, working through the pandemic and undertaking prolonged periods of virtual learning. Their maturity and hard work will help them flourish as they move on to their next steps in education.”
