Students destined for top universities after spectacular A Levels success

Redhill Academy Trust students have been collecting their eagerly anticipated A Level results.

Young people at our Trust's seven Sixth Form centres, spanning Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, were delighted with their results and excited to take the next step in their education.

Emotions ran high as envelopes were torn open to reveal the all-important grades. Students' exceptional work paid off, with many individuals excelling beyond expectation to achieve the grades they had hoped for - or higher!

Students across our sixth forms have plenty to celebrate today. Whether being accepted to top universities or securing high level apprenticeships, the important thing is that our students have been able to achieve their potential and move onto the next stage of their chosen paths.

Andrew Burns, Chief Executive - Redhill Academy Trust

Many will go on to study some of the most sought-after degree courses at internationally renowned institutions across the UK, including Oxbridge and Russell Group universities.

Several students have successfully earned places at Oxford and Cambridge universities:

The Redhill Academy

Tupton Hall School

  • Jaiden French achieved 2 A*s, 1A and 1 C and will study Computer Science at the University of Oxford.

South Nottinghamshire Academy

  • Ava Creagh achieved A*A*A with an A* in EPQ and will study English at The University of Cambridge.

We are immensely proud of our sixth form students, who have demonstrated commitment and resilience in achieving these outstanding results. Our teachers have worked tirelessly to ensure that students progress on to further education and employment with universities as far-reaching as Northumbria to Plymouth. Well done to everyone – your success is well-deserved.

Dan Philpotts, Headteacher - South Nottinghamshire Academy

Across Redhill Academy Trust, students will embark on a fascinating spectrum of degree courses, from medicine and nursing to marine biology, archaeology, aerospace engineering, business management, history and politics, fine art, film and television - and everything in between!

Others have been successful in gaining prestigious degree apprenticeships and employment opportunities.

  • Alexander Wildman at Tupton Hall Sixth Form will begin a degree apprenticeship as a Nuclear Engineer with Rolls-Royce.
  • Matthew Wood from Brookfield Community School will take on a Level 7 degree apprenticeship with accountants RSM Nottingham.

At Redhill Sixth Form's Oakwood campus, which offers Level 3 vocational qualifications, there was an outstanding set of results across both Sport and Health & Social Care BTEC courses. The centre’s first ever T Level results in Education and Early Years were also very promising, following the inaugural year of the course.

Andy Edwards, Director of Post-16 at Redhill Trust, said:

Both schools and students have worked incredibly hard this year, and as a result several of our schools are celebrating their highest ever average points score for students, while vocational performance has again been exceptional. It is great to see so many of our students getting rewards for their hard work and celebrating their ambitious destinations.

We would like to congratulate all students and staff on their hard work in securing these achievements and wish the Class of 2025 the very best in their next adventures!
