Train To Teach

There are no great schools without great teachers

School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) is a school-based teacher training route which allows high quality graduates the opportunity to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) through an approach designed specifically to maximise time in schools.

Training with Redhill SCITT allows you to learn your craft directly from outstanding classroom practitioners and school leaders. All  whilst being guided and nurtured by a range of specialists who ensure that each trainee receives the right amount of support and challenge to be successful, not only as a trainee, but as a future teacher and potential school leader.

We work in partnership with Inspiring Leaders, an established and successful provider of   initial teacher training. We also partner with Nottingham Trent University (NTU) to offer the Post Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) as part of our training.

Our courses carefully blend significant hands-on teaching experience in our schools with extensive professional development training  alongside the critical thinking and theory that is so important for understanding the principles of teaching and learning.
