Festive Food Bank

Festive spirit in full swing as food bank collection launches

Donations are flooding in across our academies for the Redhill Academy Trust Festive Food Bank Collection. Each school is holding its own collection of festive treats, essential supplies and gifts to make Christmas extra special for those in need in our communities.

  • The deadline for donations is Tuesday 15 December

Here's how the collections are going...

Hall Park Academy

A huge community effort is under way at Hall Park Academy with even the local fire station getting involved by making a bumper donation. Food parcels are being delivered to Broxtowe Community Projects who will help local people put food on the table this Christmas. This is how the school shared the news on their Facebook page:

Colonel Frank Seely Academy

Headteacher Mr Gale launched the Festive Food Bank Collection at Colonel Frank Seely Academy. Here he is on the CFS Twitter account with the first few donations and there have been plenty more pouring in since then. The academy will support the Arnold Food Bank with their donations.

The Bolsover School

Students and staff at The Bolsover School have used creative and musical means to promote their Festive Food Bank Collection. A magical music video shows the staff band performing a Christmas song which was written with the help of students. 'Christmas Time Is Here' hopes to encourage the school community to enter the spirit of giving and donate generously to the collection which will support the Freedom Food Bank.

Tupton Hall School

An enormous pile of gifts is growing by the day at Tupton Hall School where the aim is to surpass last year's Christmas food bank donation to Clay Cross Food Bank. The target to beat is a whopping 360 kilos... will they do it? Keep those donations coming!

The Carlton Infant Academy

Carlton Infants are doing things a little differently, with a Festive 'Treat' Bank Collection gathering those delicious foods, thoughtful gifts and essential supplies that make Christmas extra special. Their donations will be distributed to those in need by St Paul's Church in Carlton. Well done everyone!
